Gentle an iconic wild Brumby

Due to popular demand Kelly Wilson is returning to Australia and I will join her to teach! Enjoy two intensive weeks taming a wild Brumby, at the Brumby Junction Sanctuary in Victoria, Australia!

This shortened format is perfect for time-sensitive people that want to fit three-weeks of training into just two weeks! To make it possible we'll be all work and no play (but it will still feel like play, we promise), with only 8 trainers (instead of 12)! So you'll still get the same amount of tuition and leave with an abundance of knowledge and memories made!

Here at the Bumbry Junction Sanctuary, we'll be taming wild Brumbies that have been saved by the Victorian Brumby Association Inc. (VBA). You'll also have a chance to walk amongst their resident wild herds and swim your Brumby in the dam! Each day Kelly and Hannah will be working the horses, as well as giving each client a lesson, so there will be double the learning for both the horses and people watching! The Brumbies we tame are available to adopt by Australian residents, or for those that aren't able to keep their Brumby, you can help an Australian adopters' dream come true by gentling a wild horse that the VBA will then pair with an approved home.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

Tuition, VBA fees and camping fees (including access to kitchens, rustic living space and bathrooms) are included in the price, alternatively there are limited bunk rooms available for a surcharge of $35AU per night. Meals and travel to Ballarat, Victoria not included.

During the workshop, trainers are able to choose between:

Option 1: Gentling a wild Brumby

Option 2: Starting (or advancing) a domestic or pre-tamed Brumby at liberty

Option 3: Gentling a wild Brumby AND training a horse at liberty (double the training time - additional fees apply)A maximum of 9 trainers will be selected.

Fees depend on the length of time and option.
