Bagheera
THE DREAM TEAM
Sulphur, UT mustang born wild and captured as a colt in 2017. He was the first Sulphur mustang I had worked with. He blew me away with his intelligence and trainability. I documented his initial training as I first started teaching.
In 2019 he was lightly started at liberty before joining the Zion Stage Coach as one of the teams to drive border-to-border across the state of Montana in 2020. After that his love for liberty developed in a new way as he learned the art of self collection and benefits of +R on the ground and in the saddle. In 2021 he was one of my main mounts a long riding horseback journey with me to raise awareness for American mustangs. That year Bagheera would steal the show in our demonstrations and has risen in the ranks as one of my top and most dependable horses in demos and on the trail. His biggest challenge has been to learn to share the spotlight with the rest of the team.

Amadora
THE DREAM TEAM
A Sulphur mustang gathered in 2017. I first met her in 2018 when I gentled her and three other Sulphurs. This beautiful, sweet girl always enamored me however my clinician career was just starting and I was limited on horses that could stay with me. So once gentled she was placed into a home. After many unsuccessful attempts at her starting undersaddl.
in 2023 I heard word that she might need a sanctuary. I always welcome any of my mustangs and burro back but this one especially I was drawn to and wish to give another chance. Although she is still presenting a challenge under saddle even working in collaboration with top colt starter and problem horse trainers, she quickly has earned her stripes as a valuable member of the dream team.
Amadora can get quite worried about doing the wrong thing and is very sensitive. However that challenge is also a strength because if she knows what her job is she just does it which make for a really great liberty partner.

Legendario
THE DREAM TEAM
Ario’s mother was wild from the Sulphur range and foaled him after she was captured so he is currently my only mustang that was handled from birth. He had a decent education and up bringing by his devoted owners who had many aspirations for him. Due to some unfortunate circumstances, Ario was gifted to me about the same time.
Amadora came back to me, becoming the third member of my Sulphur Dream Team. He has since had close to thirty rides undersaddle in 2023. On the team he is the guy that cannot be still for

Rosette
THE WYOMING GIRLS
gathered from Divide Basin 2014 Checkerboard round up in Wyoming, was at the time one of my most difficult mustangs to gentle. She really has taught me to appreciate the little things that we often take for granted with our domestic horses. The severity of her flighty and reactive nature had me questioning for well over a year if she would ever adjust and make for a willing partner.
Once that decision to give humans a chance was made, the lightbulb moment allowed much progress to be made. I had the chance to have Rosette travel with me when I interned under Madison Shambaugh (Mustang Maddy) and she put the first few rides on her. With much time and dedication she has become one of my must dependable horses that can sit for over and year and still be the same horse that I left undersaddle. For many years she was my only riding horse to help me work off a ridden horse with wild and green horses.
Like Bagheera, she too was selected to learn to drive and join the Zion Stage Coach trip across Montana. Then in 2021 she was also one of my main steeds for long riding and demoing in many states across the country to raise awareness for mustangs and showcase in a new way, what amazing partners they can make.

Wyona
THE WYOMING GIRLS
born in holding in Wyoming to a mustang mare from a burro jack, making her a rare and unique BLM branded mule. At eight years old when she was adopted and gentled by me in 2021, she was not always straight forward, but thankfully at least a blank slate.
She progress quickly through her training and excelled at liberty and obstacles. In 2023 Wyona was successfully started undersaddle, making her only the second known branded mule successfully riding. She is a quirky and remarkable creature and I’m so thankful to be her person!

Junnali
THE WYOMING GIRLS
is a Salt Wells, Wyoming curly filly. I had seen her photographed in the wild and was instantly captivated by her. When I learned that she was gathered and selected for adoption I did not hesitate to add this darling girl to the team. She offers such a kind and

Kody
THE BURROS
From Selenite Range, Nevada and was gathered as a six year old. He was my partner for the 2021 Nampa Idaho Mustang Mania Challenge where we managed to place as the Overall Champion.
I was really impressed with the gentle willingness this introverted guy has. In less than a year he learned to drive a cart, do advanced liberty, trail ride undersaddle, and become a pack animal when I did my long riding trip. He was such an invaluable member of the team as people across many state fell in love with the idea of adopting and owning a burro.
-
Arose
THE BURROS
from Bullfrog, Nevada. He was gentled and trained by the late Ashley Rose who was a huge ambassador for mustangs and burros by helping find hundreds homes across the country. I decided to purchase Arose due to his uncommon size of 13.1 hands and to have him help educate long ear lovers good donkeymanship by documenting his training session by session.
As my first non-untouched burro he presents more realistic challenges my students might come across so he is a part of a burro training series where I restart all his training from scratch to help in our mission of bringing burro training to a new level.

Sitara
LIBERTY & DEMO
Gathered from Triple B, Nevada as a two year old filly. We met in 2013 and were partners for the one and only Mustang Millon.
I was only eighteen years old at the time and she was the first horse I had ever started undersaddle. We managed to place in the top third of over 200 entries of professionals across the country. It was an amazing experience and I really owe it to her for taking care of me and instilling my love for the wild ones. Her calm, laidback, and kind nature was recognized and eventually she found a new home where she was a lesson horse for many year for kids.
I greatly miss this one in a million horse and thankfully was given the opportunity to have her live with my family and I again. She sometimes assist in liberty clinics as a horse I can help teach people with but more often a family favorite when we ride.

Teno
LIBERTY & DEMO
gathered from Devil Garden, California as an eighteen year old band stallion. Although initially very leery of humans, once I could make physical contact with him, he showed his true colors of a kindhearted guy. In 2020 he helped me teach teenage students how to gentled and start a horse at liberty. We got him going undersaddle before he went to his home. Unfortunate circumstances unrelated to him had Teno needing a home and I instantly knew he had to come back. He has since helped with students learning both liberty and gentling techniques since some of those many years on the range don’t fade so easily for this guy. He also plays an important role in bringing up my young horses. Although he is a gelding, he still thinks he is a stallion which creates a very similar atmosphere that the mustangs would have had in the wild, herd dynamic wise.

Scooby
LIBERTY & DEMO
From Four Mile, Idaho. He joined the family in 2022 when I selected him to be one of my partners for the Montana TIP Challenge. He was gentled in two weeks and turned out while I caught my other competition mustangs up. His quiet nature drew the attention of my family and they decided I could not let him go. After placing Reserved Champion, second only behind my other horse I showed and trained for the same competition, he has now became a part of the family. I have him as one of the horses I can offer students to learn liberty, horsemanship, and colt starting with.

Shine
LIBERTY & DEMO
From Silver King, Nevada is a mustang I gentled and placed Reserved Champion with in 2017 at the Nampa Mustang Mania TIP Challenge in Idaho. In 90 days she was able to perform an intricate liberty freestyle performance. She is co-owned between myself, Trudy Midas of Espana Silk, and Joseph Richards in Florida. She was Rosette’s team partner for the Zion Stage Coach drive and later was one of my top demo horses.
While I was away on my own long ride, she accompanied as a pack horse, two young ladies riding from Canada to Mexico on horseback. She now resides in Florida with Joseph who formed a strong bond with when he came to learn liberty, wild horse training, and colt starting techniques in the summer of 2020.
